I'm Ajani.

(Pronounced Ah-jah-nee or Àjàní)

I'm many things to many people, but I see myself as a creative and empathetic individual who likes to solve problems.
I'm currently looking for UX writing roles, but I'm open to other UX-related roles (UX designer /researcher, etc.) in NYC (or remote). I value any opportunity that would allow me to learn and fully explore my interests so that I can be a champion for human-centered practices.

I'm open to many different fields and subjects, but some ideas and concepts that I hope to explore include AR/VR, machine learning, NLP, visual design, fine art, illustration, and language acquisition. I would also relish the chance to apply design thinking in the publishing industry, especially in the world of manga. If that sounds interesting to you, then drop me a line!

Experience

Before starting as a UX designer, I spent six years solving problems in publishing as an editor who worked with one of the largest Japanese comic book publishers in the industry, and I even won an award for my work! I also worked as a freelance Japanese-English translator (日本語もできます), where I translated across a wide variety of fields and subjects, such as factory automation, chemistry, tourism, gaming, government, and much more.
